About Clipper Masonry
Clipper Masonry is a licensed, bonded and insured general contractor specializing in chimney repair, masonry and tile work. Based in Deming, WA, 20 minutes from Bellingham and Mt. Vernon, Clipper Masonry does work across northern Washington, particularly in Whatcom and Skagit Counties. Ben Hidy is the owner and installer, and has sixteen years experience in masonry. What I Do
Clipper Masonry specializes in chimney repair and restoration: including mortar tuckpoints, total repoints, replacing mortar washcaps, complete teardown and rebuilds, using state-of-the-art restoration and dust control tools. Whether your mortar joints are deteriorated or your entire chimney is compromised, call me for a free written estimate of your chimney's current condition and my recommendation for repair.
While brick restoration and repair is a big part of my annual work, it by no means encompasses all the services I provide. I have a great passion for the art of stone masonry -- whether it be mortared stone walks, patios, walls, floors, fireplace and woodstove surrounds, hearths or veneers. Please click on the stone section to see some examples of my work using various stone types and stone-laying styles. If you would like to see some of my work up close, I have built some stone panels at Cascade Stone Supply in Burlington.
In addition to repair, restoration and stone, I enjoy the rhythm of brick and block laying, from brick veneers, surrounds and hearths, to block walls and manufactured home skirts.
Finally, indoors or out, I love to lay tile -- whether it be stone, slate, ceramic, or glass for floors, walls, wainscots, backsplashes, tub surrounds, showers, fireplace surrounds and hearths.
